I've managed to get an original copy of Sliabh na mban fhionn by An t-Athair Peadar Ua Laoghaire. Following his name is - Canónach - so obvious he was a canon, but after that, there are two initials - S.P. What do they stand for?

Was he a piarist?
(S.P. = Ordo Clericorum Regularium Pauperum Matris Dei Scholarum Piarum)

I thought it might have meant - sagart paróiste - but as he was a canon, I'm not sure that that would have been the case.

It's "Sagart Paróiste", he was parish priest in Caisleán Uí Liatháin (Castlelyons).

Go raibh maith agat - by the way I see that in the Notes on this story, some of the later chapters are missing - is that because they haven't got round to posting them with the relevant notes, or do you not have them? If that's the case, I'd be willing to provide the text, if need be.
