A very good friend and I are getting tattoos that each contain half of a phrase -- we were originally going to do it in English but have since considered writing it in Irish.

The phrases we want are:
"There is no better friend than a sister."
"There is no better sister than you."

I realize the idiom might not translate well so suggestions are welcome!

Níl cara níos fearr ná do dheirfiúr
There is no better friend than your sister

Níl deirfiúr níos fearr ná tusa
There is no better sister than you

Note the difference in spelling between dheirfiúr in the first line and deirfiúr in the second line. It is intentional, and has a grammatical/pronunciation basis.

Níl aon chara amúigh is fearr ná do dheirfiúr.
There is no better friend than your sister.

Níl aon deirfiúr amúigh is fearr ná tú.
There is no better sister than you.
