Following on from the other thread on Gaeilg/Gaeilge/Gaeiling, I thought that listing the divergences might be of interest. I've put lesser known differences or features that would not be a part of a standard anyway (as you have to be narrow by the definition of a standard) in square brackets

SOUNDS
Use of '-amar' ('we' past) instead of '-aimir' (as is really said in Munster)

Spelling of [ɛɾʲ] as 'ar'

Spelling of feminine nouns where the prepositional form/dative has over taken the old nominative in the old form (ex: 'fuinneog' and 'leaba' instead of 'fuinneoig' and 'leabaidh')

Spelling '-aimís' and '-aidís' endings as '-aimis' and '-aidis'

[The apparent extra diphthongs created in Donegal: 'téidhm', 'léidhm' etc, not mentioned]

Intrusive slender 't' not much mentioned 'aríst', Donegal 'ceannaimist'

[Some dialects has the ending for actors '-óir' as 'ór' (some parts of Mayo)]

[Intrusive [j] and 'f' at the beginning of words 'easóg' to 'dheasóg' and 'feasóg' etc]

Where metathesis has changed around consonants (ex: 'bolgam', now 'blogam'), 'n' has changed to 'r' (ex: 'mrá' etc

Where the glide has 'taken over from' the previous vowel, as in ''geimhreadh' if changed to 'gímhreadh'

Not explaining the rules whereby a written and etymologically conservative standard can be modified to reflect Gaeltacht speech

Not explaining the possibility of more than two l and n sounds, nor voiceless l, n, r, m and ng

Not making clear lenition in prepositional pronouns ('agam' as 'agham'/'am' etc)

GRAMMAR
Irregular forms such as 'ní dheachaigh' instead of the simpler 'níor chuaigh' etc

Ignoring of the Connachta manner of initially mutating the copula ('nach mba....' etc)

Not using simpler Munster forms such as 'Dhein' etc

Not getting across to learners the variance in verbal morphology 'bíonn mé' and 'bím', for example

[No mention of the 'simplification' of the copular forms in Donegal]

Little mention of '(t)c(h)ím' as the verb of vision when it is widely used

Use of dependant forms but ignoring where Donegal has more

[No mention of the variance in irregular forms]

It is -idís (not -idis) in Standard Irish.
But it is -imis (not -imís).

BTW:
(conc. -nn, -ll, mn-, etc.)
There's actually no pronunciation standard or phonological standard.
At least such rules aren't part of the Caighdeán Oifigiúil as fas as I know.
The CO is a standard of written Irish alone.
