Not sure how many are aware of this, but the 1902 edition of the Christian Brother's grammar is available free online. It's a little out of date, obviously, but quite interesting because it details the history of the language (linguistically, like explaining about the former past-tense particle ro, and still teaches the dative case.

It can be found here. I had some issues loading it with my Chrome PDF reader, but it worked great once I tried it with Adobe after downloading it.

I don't know whether anyone else has noticed, but page 6 is missing in the version of the book at that link. I mean numbered page 6, not the sixth "page" in the pdf, and it's not just a question of a blank page being omitted, because the wording at the bottom of page 5 and at the top of page 7 all makes clear that some text is missing (page 7 starts in mid-sentence).

I've printed out all of the pages (the rest all seem to be there) and am planning to make a more useful version with two (original) pages per sheet, which I can then copy double-sided to end up with four pages per sheet. If anyone has access to a copy of the book and can supply the missing page 6, I'd appreciate it. You can send me a private email about it. Thanks!
