Hello everyone,

I posted on here a while ago but lost my info for the website, and had mixed translations.

I had wanted to find what the translation was for "Christ Be My Leader" like the Christian Hymn.

Is it " Críost mo threoraí " ?

Thank you!

That's, basically, "Christ is my leader," but is probably the most succinct way to say this.

Wait for more input.

If someone can find the original post, it would be better to bump it back up and lock this one.

It works I think. But wouldn't

A Chríost, bí 'mo threoraí be a more direct translation and work just as well?

Isn't that a TSF? Or does the apostrophe indicate a missing "i"?

Also, not being familiar with the hymn, I'm not certain if this should be imperative or if we should be looking at "go raibh"...

Maybe more direct, certainly not correct.

It should be: A Chríost, bí mar threoraí dom/agam or A Chríost, bí i do threoraí agam/dom

I can't get the link to the original post to come up here, but if you google "Críost mo threoraí" it will take you straight to it.

I'm going to suggest that one of the mods lock this thread, since it's a new one (and since you've found the original thread). I'll answer this over there.
