Here's Cantain singing An Maidrín Rua - I'd never heard of them before, apparently they've brought out a CD. Would anyone know anything about them and where you might be able to get it?

Interesting. Odd sort of song for a choir. The harmonies are kind of fun, though.

That sort of singing is widely popular in the Scottish Gaelic world. Well, I say "popular"... a fair few people sing in choirs, but nobody there's not really a market for CDs except among friends and family. (Personally, if I wanted to listen to that sort of harmony, I'd just join the Anglican church...)

Well, they've been on at the Market Place Theatre in Armagh and at Ranfurley House in Dungannon and Skara Brae had a similar style of singing, I seem to remember.
