How do people in Ireland pronounce the town name Leixlip? I know it's a Viking name and comes from the Old Norse leax hlaup, meaning "salmon leap", but I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it.

the k sound is often missing: "lee(k)slip"

Or just say "Léim an Bhradáin" instead

I have never heard it without the 'k' sound.
We had first timers at our ciorcal comhrá from Léim an Bhradáin last Saturday.
