How do people in Ireland pronounce the town name Leixlip? I know it's a Viking name and comes from the Old Norse leax hlaup, meaning "salmon leap", but I don't think I've ever heard anyone say it.

I think there are two slightly differing ways of saying it tho, one with the s shorter and another where the s is more dwelled upon

the k sound is often missing: "lee(k)slip"

Or just say "Léim an Bhradáin" instead ;)
