Fáilte romhat Annie - if you look, there are posted up on the forum a couple of pages that give details of how to learn and use Irish language with your children. For example Forbairt Naíonraí Teo have published 'Basic Irish for Parents and Childminders/BunGhaeilge do Thuismitheoirí agus Feighlithe Leanaí' which is available in either of the three main dialects plus the official standard one as there is a CD included with it.

I'm interested mostly in Connacht Irish, as my ancestors came from the west of Ireland. My g-grandfather came from Clifden, my grandmother's family from somewhere in Co. Cork.

hey everyone, new guy here. I'm full-on Irish, my family is from Tullamore, and finally made it over to Ireland for a long visit last year (and already wanting to get back). I'm here because I want to learn more about Gaelic and the Ogham alphabet. I just want to become more educated about my heritage. I'm looking forward to learning more!
