Jason is my english name, which also happens to be a biblical name translated in the irish language to Íasón (Yaw-son) I am grateful my father didn't name me Seáson to the same affect (like Seosamh) !

The pronunciation of Íasón sounds basically like Íosán (little Jesus), so it feels more authentically Irish than your average biblical name

Dia dhaoibh! Jessica is ainm dom. I've been learning Irish for a couple years now, mostly through Duolingo. I bought Learning Irish over a year ago and went through about five chapters. Right now I'm focusing entirely on Duolingo, but I plan to go through the book again when I finish all my Duolingo lessons. I don't know anyone else who's learning Irish, leaving me no one to practice with. I'm hoping this community can help fill that gap.
