Dia daoibh, a chairde

I've just started trying to brush up on my Irish and I have the Turas Teanga book and CDs but can't get the DVD anywhere, doesn't seem to be available anymore

Does anyone know where I can get a copy, even a used one?

Go raibh maith agaibh

Perhaps you can get it from here - there's one copy still available from PriceMinister - this is on the French site but the seller is in America)

What a great find, it's one of the easiest to follow videos I have seen, considering the ones with some plot in them and not merely sentences. The characters themselves possess some universal traits that makes them more easily understandable even without speaking!

They seemed to go to some lengths to have people from different regions, I found the the way they use differences funny, with at ~4:30 the "lady's man" going for the kill with "Ahhh, as Dún na nGall, an ea?" after her "Cad é mar ata sibh?".

I'll leave the comments on their accents for the more knowledgeable here, but I found it very helpful and will try to follow it!

Litríocht says the DVD is "also available" but doesn't appear to stock it. :(

An Grá Faoi Glas is on YouTube, if that is what you are after:

It would be a shame if the DVD were no longer available, as it includes so much more than An Grá Faoi Glas, including brief dramas based on the chapters, as well as interviews and such that give the learner an opportunity to hear Irish spoken naturally.

I can't seem to find it anywhere. It might be worth contacting RTÉ and asking if they intend to produce the dvd again or if they know where it might be available.

Dia daoibh aris

Still no luck in finding a copy anywhere unfortunately, I contacted RTE and they said it was no longer produced.

Real shame, and surprising as it's not very old.

Thanks for your help anyway, hopefully I'll come across a copy sometime

It's at least 10 years old (I know that because someone gave me a copy of the DVDs when I first started learning Irish 10 years ago)...that's actually pretty long in the tooth for educational materials.

That is something, though...if someone out there has the DVD, perhaps they could make copies. Since the DVD is out of print, that wouldn't be unethical.
