This is just a thread to answer a question elsewhere on the internet.

When a word is capitalised in Irish, the base word gets the capitalisation, not the mutation. For example:

An Muileann gCearr
Ceol Rince na hÉireann

The definite article and prepositions tend not to be capitalised unless they come right at the beginning:

Bás in Éirinn
Fiche Bliain ag Fás

So something like muintir i gcónaí would become Muintir i gCónaí.

Does anyone have any other examples?

and the up-and-downy:

(even though some of the Donegal sports teams spell it incorrectly on their own flags !!)
