I've found different translations for eternal love, and forever, and even the technical translation of Mo Sior Ghrá, but I need to know if that is a grammatically correct phrase for "Ever My Love". I like the poetic sound of that phrase, and want to get it right for an inscription on a ring.

Also, what is the difference between Grá and Ghrá, and which would be proper for that phrase? Only one letter, but space is limited on this particular ring.

The problem is that you're not going to get an Irish phrase that has the exact syntax of the English one.

Probably closest would be something like:

Mo ghrá go deo: My love forever

Mo shíorghrá: My eternal love (btw, what you have up there, "mo sior ghrá," is incorrect. The way I have it is correct)

Mo bhuanghrá: My forever/enduring love.

The difference between "grá" and "ghrá" is grammatical. In all of these examples it's "ghrá"...in the first case because it follows the possessive adjective "mo" and in the other two cases because it's part of a compound word.

By the way, 'ever my love' sounds a little like 'ever in trouble', to me, i.e. I would use it to mean continually rather than forever into the future.
