I came across 'caiple' as the plural for 'capall' today. Until now, I don't think I have ever seen anything other than 'capaill' as the plural. Has anyone else come across it and if so, what is the story with it? (After a few drinks, that might look like a horse.)

I've seen both caiple and capaill in texts in standard Irish... It's like "focla" and "focail", both are accepted in the standard...

I say "caiple", and also "leabhra". Maybe it's a Conamara thing.
