Can someone help me with the correct translation of a phrase in Gaeilge ?

"Lord, give me 13 minutes in heaven before the devil knows I'm dead"

I have found some translations, but want to be sure of them...

Thank you very much for any help!

Please post the translations you've already found here (along with the sources). There can be many ways to say something in Irish (that's true of any language really), and we can't help you to "be sure of them" without seeing them. We could give you something entirely different, and both could be correct. There's no sense making us reinvent the wheel if something you already have is usable.

This is what I have, but it's from an auto translate I found online...

"Tiarna a thabhairt dom 13 nóiméad sa spéir os a fhios ag an diabhal Tá mé marbh"

Thanks

Well, definitely don't use that one! It's garbage! It works out to "Lord to give me 13 minutes in the sky above knows the devil I am dead," and the grammar is appalling!

I'm afraid this one is a bit beyond me, but someone here should be able to do it for you.

OMG ! It's a good thing you came here.

"Lord, give me 13 minutes in heaven before the devil knows I'm dead"

A Thiarna, lig dom a bheith trí nóiméad déag sna flaitheas sula mbeidh a fhíos ag an diabhal go bhfuil mé marbh.

Wait for agreement, corrections, or better alternatives.

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

That's why I'm here :D
I did trust it enough and figured spending a few days extra would be a smart idea!

Thanks for the help!

trí nóiméad déag – thirteen minutes
(I was taught trí neomataí déag but that's just a slight dialect difference)

trí déag – thirteen

nóiméad – minute

Just one quick question: should it be "sna Flaithis"?
