Hello, good people.
I'm here to express my gratitude to Breandán, Bridmhor, Redwolf, Caffler, and Scoobytyson who responded to my translation request back in 2010.
I have a little video snippet from my show,
Drop the Knife: A Memoir-in-Song, written on the occasion of turning 60 in 2010. This is the part of the show where a shaman tells me there's a curse on the Irish side of my family going down the female line, and that I need to find my family land in Ireland, bury a hatchet there and call off the curse. Hope I got "close enough" in my pronunciation of the Gaelic words. Challenging language! I'm just getting ready to do the show for the 4th time on Saturday. Shared it with my Irish grandmother's niece's daughter, and she enjoyed it!
http://youtu.be/eKKS9Dz5Css(it's about 24 minutes--the Gaelic is at around 16:45).
with much appreciation,
Jeanne
