Does it count as a musical claim to fame that my then four year old asked me to stop singing as it was hurting his ears? :lah: Maybe not.....

A couple of years ago on one of the police dramas on TV here (I've forgotten which), there was an episode where the actor Thomas Gibson, playing an Irish-American detective, spoke Irish to a suspect who was an Irish immigrant. As I recall the scene, the suspect was a young man who spoke Irish to one of his friends in front of Gibson (possibly insulting Gibson), and Gibson surprised him by answering back in Irish. I'd never seen that before on an American TV show, apart from the stereotypical Céad míle fáilte, Sláinte and "Erin go bragh" sorts of things.

That sounds familiar, but I thought it was Law and Order. Thomas Gibson, acts in my favourite crime show Criminal Minds.
